Last week, our U18 team travelled to Incheon in South Korea for the K League Incheon Youth Cup, a multi-day international tournament with 8 Asian participants and 4 European teams in the field. Besides RSC Anderlecht, Wolverhampton, Valencia and Real Sociedad also travelled to South Korea
The Mauves, with coach René Peeters leading the 2006 generation, qualified for the final of the tournament without losing a game. In that final, it faced Japan's Tokyo Verdy. Neerpede won 1-0, returning to Brussels with the tournament win
Not only the collective performance was thus rewarded, but RSCA also won prizes individually. Coach René Peeters was named coach of the tournament. Aboubacar Conté was named player of the tournament.
