Basile Vroninks has signed his first professional contract with RSC Anderlecht. The 17-year-old right-back is now tied to Sporting until June 2027. Next season, he will be part of the squad of RSCA Futures, wearing number 62.
The native of Antwerp arrived at the club in 2012, when he was just five years old. He came up through the ranks with the 2006 generation, who were often champions in their youth category. Basile established himself in the team at right-back.
In the 2023/24 season, he was a starter for the U18s, who narrowly missed out on the title and qualification for the Youth League after a solid season. Basile left his mark with his attacking contributions and defensive discipline.
Academy Director Mikkel Hemmersam: 'Basile is a dynamic right-back with considerable offensive abilities. He combines good technique with defensive discipline and great physical abilities. Next season should allow him to develop further with the RSCA Futures and to, hopefully, make his debut in the Challenger Pro League.'
