Norwegian talent Kristan Arnstad joins RSCA

Kristian Arnstad, who recently turned 16 years old, signed a contract with RSC Anderlecht. He is considered one of the greatest talents Scandinavian football has seen the past few years.

The youngster signed a youth contract with RSCA for 3 seasons. Arnstad made his first team debut this season for Stabaek, but mostly he played for their U16’s and U19’s team. His U19 stats are  good, scoring 9 times in combination with 16 assists. Arnstad also is captain of the Norwegian national U16’s team.

Michael Verschueren, Sports Director RSC Anderlecht:
“Arnstad’s arrival is in line with our In Youth We Trust philosophy: giving young talented players the opportunity to grow towards the First Team, with an excellent mentoring, pushing them to become high-level professional players.”

Frank Arnesen, Technical Director:
“Arnstad is a physically strong player, always playing with determination and passion. He is technically very skilled and reads the game very well. He won’t be joining straight away the First Team. Every now and then he will be training with them, but we will give him the time to adapt and to develop his skills in our youth academy.”

Kristian Arnstad:
“Joining RSC Anderlecht is a well thought through decision. This club has an excellent reputation across Europe when it comes to the development of youth players. Young players are given trust and opportunities here. The style of play Vincent Kompany is installing in this club, is really attractive. Up to me to make it happen, first with the U21’s team and in a later stage hopefully with the First Team as well.”
