Ali Maamar (19) has extended his contract at RSC Anderlecht until 2028. The young wingback made his first-team debut against Club Brugge last weekend.
Born in Brussels, Ali has been a familiar face at Neerpede since the age of five. With his technique, depth and commitment, he patiently made his way all the way up to his professional debut in the Challenger Pro League with the RSCA Futures in the ‘22’-'23 season. He now has 26 games under his belt in the Challenger Pro League.
Ali holds the Belgian-Moroccan nationality and is also a Moroccan youth international.
Chief Academy Tim Borguet:
"Ali is doing very well for the RSCA Futures this season. This is a good moment to confirm our mutual commitment. Maamar is a right (wing) back who can also play on the other wing. He has a lot of volume and brings depth, he often makes it to the back line and has a good cross. Ali's debut for the first team is a nice compliment to his exemplary discipline and the path he and his family have taken at Neerpede."
