Luca Monticelli has extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht. The striker of the 2005 generation has put pen to paper on a new deal running until June 2025.
Luca joined Neerpede in the summer of 2019 from Standard de Liège. Luca is a versatile player. He can play in any attacking position. Luca is often described by his coaches as an elegant player with a great finish.
This season, Luca was captain of the U18s, who finished the league second. He ended up scoring more than 20 goals. Luca also played 13 matches with the RSCA Futures in the Challenger Pro League.
CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg: “Luca is an exciting young player. Even though he has some work ahead of him, we can see his potential and we have seen him taking the right steps. We’re happy that he is staying at the club so we can fulfill that potential together.”
Luca’s a keen student, who spent the last four years on the Purple Talents program. He has just graduated from high school. You could say that it’s been a successful start to the summer for the young player, who also got a taste of the first team in the first two friendlies of the season.
