Alexander De Ridder has signed his first professional contract with RSC Anderlecht. The young player of the 2008 generation will play for the Mauve & Blanc for the next three seasons.
Alexander was just nine years old when he joined Sporting in 2018. He quickly impressed with his technical ability and explosiveness. These qualities convinced his coaches to let him play as a midfielder.
Born in Kiev, Alexander spends his time between East Flanders, where his parents live, and boarding school in Anderlecht. He is known at Neerpede to be a quiet guy, eager to learn and driven by a winning mentality.
This season, the young midfielder was part of the U16 squad. Back in April, he represented RSCA in Ajax's renowned Future Cup, where he made a spectacular last-man tackle against Partizan Belgrade.
Academy Director Mikkel Hemmersam: "Alexander is a interesting midfielder. He's driven by a winning mentality, with a style of play that perfectly aligns with the Anderlecht DNA. We're excited to see what the coming years have in store for him."
Congratulations, Alexander.
