Amine Mahroug signs his first pro contract

Amine Mahroug has signed his first professional contract with Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht. The 15-year old, born and raised in Brussels, will play in Mauve for the next three seasons.

Amine is a true ket of the capital. After getting his first taste of football at FC Ganshoren, he quickly caught the eye of Neerpede scouts. Amine joined Sporting in 2016, when he was just 8 years old.

Nowadays, the young left back mostly plays with the U16s. Last month, he made minutes with the U23s in a friendly against OHL. Football IQ, percussion and technique are often mentioned when the coaches of the RSCA Belfius Academy talk about Amine.

Academy Director Mikkel Hemmersam: “Amine is a modern, left-footed left-back with a very good first touch. He’s got both the defensive and offensive aspects in his style of play. If we continue to work together on the aspects he can still improve, he’s clearly a bright prospect for the future."

Congratulations, Amine.
