Academy manager Kevin Vermeulen is leaving RSC Anderlecht

After 17 seasons, Academy Manager Kevin Vermeulen is leaving RSC Anderlecht. The club is grateful to Kevin Vermeulen for his commitment and contribution to our Academy.

Kevin's career began as youth coach at Dilbeek Sport and youth coordinator at White Star Woluwe, before coming to Neerpede in 2006. From youth coach, he evolved to Project and Academy Manager, working closely with Jean Kindermans.

In his role as Academy Manager, Kevin oversaw the scouting & recruiting and the educational and operational cell of the youth academy. With the implementation of the Purple Talents program and the development of the scouting system, Kevin contributed to the professionalism and growth of our youth academy. This resulted, among other things, in the development of talents such as Romelu Lukaku, Youri Tielemans and Jeremy Doku.

As part of the new structure of the Academy, constructive discussions were held with Kevin about the near future. After careful consideration, it was decided to part ways after a long and successful collaboration.

The club wishes to express its gratitude to Kevin for his years of commitment to our youth academy, and wishes him all the best for the future.
